about Me

Hi, I’m Shannon.

I’m a mom of two boys, an author, and someone whose life changed overnight.

During COVID-19, I lost my fiancé while I had an 8-month-old baby in my arms and was five weeks pregnant. One day, I had a future planned. The next, I was trying to figure out how to raise two children while grieving someone I loved deeply.

There was no roadmap for that.

So I created one.

Mama and Babe was born from the hardest season of my life and everything I’ve learned while rebuilding from it. This space is here for moms who feel overwhelmed, alone, or like they are just trying to hold everything together.

You are not alone in this. You are stronger than you think.

Motherhood After Loss

This wasn’t the life i planned

There were days I didn’t think I could do it.

I was grieving, exhausted, and still expected to show up as a mother every single day.

What I’ve learned is this:
You don’t have to have it all together to keep going.

You can be heartbroken and still be a good mom.
You can feel lost and still create a life for your kids.

  • “You can be grieving and still be a good mother.
You can be broken and still be strong.”

What This Life Has Taught Me

I didn’t learn this from a course or a career.

I learned it from loss. From becoming a mom who had no choice but to keep going, even when everything felt like it was falling apart.

This journey has taught me strength isn’t loud. It’s quiet. It’s showing up every day, even when you don’t feel ready.
